BLP advises Grupo Tecún on selling its automotive division to Grupo Q in Guatemala.

As of December 1, the Hyundai, Mazda, and Peugeot brands formerly controlled by different companies belonging to Grupo Tecún became part of the automotive portfolio of Grupo Q in Guatemala. 

BLP’s advice to Grupo Tecún on selling its automotive division to Grupo Q consisted of due diligence for the seller, participation in the auction process, and support in the negotiation and preparation of the different agreements signed by the parties. 

Users of these vehicle brands will enjoy the quality of service of Grupo Q in the usual locations, as well as access to CrediQ, a company specializing in automobile financing. A national economic benefit of the transaction is the hiring of 400 workers.
