The Secretariat of State in the Offices of Labor and Social Security has issued a significant announcement affecting all private companies, employers, organizations of civil society, public institutions, and the Honduran public. Here are the key points summarized: 

  • Mandatory Registration in SIHCLA: Starting July 20, 2024, all entities must register in the Honduran Labor Cases System (SIHCLA). 
  • Simplified National Registry of Employers: Registration in the Simplified National Registry of Employers is mandatory, with a six (6) month deadline, ending on July 20, 2024. 
  • Extension of the Deadline: The Secretariat has extended the final deadline by three (3) additional months. The new deadline is October 20, 2024. 
  • Compliance with the Inspection Law: The Inspection Law requires all companies to comply with the registration. We encourage all clients to adhere to this mandatory registration to comply with the law.
