Published in Supplement 195 of La Gaceta on December 3, this reform changes the way a commercial company receives notifications:- New company: New company bylaws must include a valid email address as the official notification address.
- Existing company: Within six months, the National Registry will launch a system to register an email address at no cost. Resident agents will not be required.
- Simple Law I (Law No. 10586): Greater Competitiveness, Fewer Taxes
This new law eliminates a series of taxes, including the stamp tax previously required for all contracts signed in Costa Rica.
