In line with its commitment to talent development, the continuous strengthening of its practice areas, and the promotion of female leadership within the firm, BLP announces the promotion of new Partners and Special Counsel in its Business Law and Labor & Employment practices, further consolidating its regional leadership and its ability to support clients in increasingly complex and sophisticated transactions.

Within the Labor & Employment practice, Alexandra Aguilar has been promoted to Partner, based on her outstanding experience in providing comprehensive labor advice to both domestic and international companies. Her practice includes prevention, planning, internal structuring, compensation schemes, labor litigation, audits, training programs, and the coordination of regional labor advice and due diligence for international clients.

In the Business Law practice, the firm has promoted Elia Naranjo to Partner, recognizing more than ten years of experience advising on local and cross-border transactions, due diligence, restructurings, corporate governance, and the negotiation of commercial agreements. Her practice spans sectors such as telecommunications, technology, transportation, and manufacturing, further strengthening BLP’s Corporate practice and its multidisciplinary approach.

As part of this process of strengthening internal leadership, BLP has also promoted Adriana Acuña and Federico Barrios to Special Counsel, recognizing their solid professional track records, deep technical expertise, and strategic contributions to the development of the firm’s Business Law practice.

Adriana Acuña, based in New York, brings extensive experience in complex corporate matters, cross-border transactions, and strategic advice to international clients with interests in Central America. In this role, she plays a key part in supporting high-level transactions, contributing a sophisticated perspective aligned with international market standards, and strengthening relationships with global clients.

Federico Barrios, based in Nicaragua, is a recognized advisor in corporate matters, complex transactions, and strategic support across key sectors. He has held leadership roles within BLP, including heading operations in San Juan del Sur, bringing a practical, business-oriented approach and a deep understanding of local and regional markets. In his new role, he will continue to contribute to the firm’s Business Law practice.
