BLP advises Grupo ASSA on the sale of La Hipotecaria Holding

BLP advised Grupo ASSA on the sale of La Hipotecaria, S.A. de C.V., an entity engaged in granting mortgage loans in El Salvador, to Inversiones Cuscatlán Centroamérica, S.A. 

The transaction involved the acquisition of 100% of the shares of La Hipotecaria Holding, Inc., with subsidiaries in Panama, El Salvador, and Colombia, by Inversiones Cuscatlán Centroamérica. 

BLP acted as local counsel to the seller, providing support in the revision of SPA, assistance with the authorization process before the Superintendence of Competition of El Salvador and assistance with the closing. 

The transaction was led by Partner Zygmunt Brett, with the support of Director José Góchez and Associate Andrea Melara.
