Banco Promerica has issued a second series of sustainable bonds in book-entry form, totaling US$15 million. This issuance is part of Banco Promerica’s US$500 million program, which allows the bank to issue green, social, or sustainable bonds up to that amount.

This bond issuance will enable Banco Promerica to continue financing projects, companies, and initiatives that promote inclusive growth and environmental sustainability in the country.

BLP advised IDB Invest, who acted as an investor in the public bond issuance. The funds raised through said investment will support loans to micro, small, and medium-sized women-owned businesses and finance green projects. This investment marks a milestone in a series of bond subscriptions aligned with IDB Invest’s goals in Guatemala.
