One of the largest M&A transactions in El Salvador’s recent history.
BLP is acting as local counsel for AAR Corp. in connection with the acquisition of a 65% controlling interest in MRO Holdings, parent company of Aeromantenimientos, S.A. (Aeroman), at an implied valuation of multiple billion US dollars. This is one of the largest M&A transactions in El Salvador’s recent history.
MRO Holdings is a leading global provider of aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul services. It has more than four decades of experience and operations in El Salvador, Mexico, Colombia and the United States.
The transaction will strengthen AAR Corp’s aviation aftermarket services platform. It also contemplates an investment plan to expand Aeroman’s maintenance capacity, modernize its facilities and equipment, and strengthen its technical training programs.
BLP is advising on the local legal aspects of the transaction, including:

- //Local structuring and review of the transaction documents.
- //Antitrust assessment.
The closing of the transaction is subject to the applicable regulatory approvals.
