At BLP, we are committed to supporting women in the legal profession and advancing their leadership across the region. This commitment has been recognized at the Women in Business Law Americas Awards 2026, where the Firm received two distinctions.
For the second consecutive year, BLP was recognized as Central America Law Firm of the Year. This award evaluates the impact and complexity of the initiatives driven by a firm in support of gender balance, as well as the demographic composition between women and men across its ranks. The distinction reaffirms BLP’s sustained commitment to the role of women in the legal industry, a value that is part of the Firm’s DNA and strategic vision. Over the past years, BLP has advanced meaningful initiatives in this area, including the adoption of the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) promoted by UN Women and the United Nations Global Compact and the launch of its Gender Equality Policy.
BLP was also honored with the Career Development Latin America Firm of the Year award, which recognizes firms based on the quality, impact and ambition of their professional development initiatives. This recognition reflects the people-centered approach that BLP has cultivated since its founding and that is deeply embedded in the firm’s culture. From its early years, BLP implemented a formal Career Development Plan that provides its lawyers with a clear and transparent path to build long-term careers, enabling growth based on defined competencies, performance and leadership development.
This milestone reflects the dedication of our outstanding professionals and the strength of the teams behind every initiative we undertake. For BLP, the growth and advancement of our people are not only core values but also essential drivers of professional excellence, innovation and long-term impact across the region.
