BLP advised Signature Aviation, the world’s leading network of private aviation terminals, on its participation in the process for the design, construction, and operation of a new general and business aviation terminal at Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (Guanacaste Airport) in Liberia, Costa Rica.
The firm’s advisory role included the preparation and submission of the bid, as well as the review, negotiation, and execution of the contract and related documentation with Coriport, the airport’s concessionaire. As a result of the process, Signature Aviation will undertake the construction and operation of the new terminal, which is scheduled to open in 2026.
The project features a high-end terminal with a modern architectural design that integrates Costa Rica’s natural environment into its infrastructure. The new facility will offer premium amenities, private passenger areas, direct ramp access, dedicated customs and immigration facilities for private aviation, and sustainable design elements incorporating local materials and environmentally conscious solutions.
BLP has supported Signature Aviation since the start of its operations in Costa Rica and continues to provide comprehensive legal advice on its day-to-day operations, including corporate, labor, and regulatory matters.
