The General Directorate of Immigration (DGME) has issued a new update based on Executive Decree 44793-G-COMEX, which came into effect in July 2025.
What’s changing?
Under this new provision, companies classified as Category A under the Free Trade Zone regime will now be automatically registered with the DGME and will maintain their active status as registered companies without the need for renewal every two years, as long as they continue to comply with their obligations before COMEX and PROCOMER.
What are the benefits of this measure?
- Reduced administrative procedures before the DGME.
- Greater agility in immigration processes.
- Facilitates the attraction and management of international talent.
This measure represents a significant step forward in enhancing the investment climate and competitiveness for companies operating under this regime.
