Jorge is a Partner of BLP based in the Guatemala City offices. His areas of expertise are Business Law, Banking & Finance, and Energy & Infrastructure.

He is a legal advisor to international companies with extensive experience in Mergers & Acquisitions, corporate and commercial matters. He has led work teams on multi-jurisdictional transactions in regulated industries such as Oil, Gas, Energy, and Telecommunications. Similarly, he has advised on regional project financing and restructuring guarantees.

He is a lawyer with extensive experience in international public bidding procedures, resulting in flagship infrastructure and energy projects in Guatemala. Moreover, he has vast experience in corporate and civil litigation and investment arbitration.

Before joining BLP, he was the Regional Representative for Europe of Invest in Guatemala and founding partner of Arias in Guatemala, where he served professionally for 25 years.
