Ignacio Alonso

Ignacio is a BLP Senior Associate in the San José office, specializing in the practice of Business Law and Private Clients & Estate Planning.

He is experienced in all processes related to business start-ups for both national and foreign companies, as well as corporate governance matters.  

He has performed due diligence in mergers and acquisitions and negotiated and structured transactions at the international corporate level.  He has valuable legal skills in advising family-run businesses in the preparation of corporate governance policies and family protocols. He has also designed and implemented complex multi-jurisdictional estate planning structures through various legal vehicles such as trusts and private interest foundations.

Ignacio began his career as an associate at the law firm Pacheco Coto and later served as Corporate M&A Manager at EY Law.  He joined the BLP team as a Senior Associate in 2019.
