Profile

Fabián Solórzano is an Associate in BLP’s San José office in Costa Rica, specializing in Dispute Resolution. He has experience advising national and transnational companies in high profile judicial litigations, as well as commercial, banking and civil matters. He has substantial experience in leading the defense of companies and industries facing government scrutiny and related private litigation. Fabian´s practice includes representing businesses and individuals in cases related to civil liability, condominium conflicts, real estate matters, commercial disputes between partners, judicial collection, inheritance conflicts, injunctions, evictions, and fraud. After joining the BLP team in 2019 as a Legal Assistant, he was appointed an Associate in 2020.

  • BLP advised ADIDAS in a multi-million dispute brought by its former distributor in Costa Rican courts.
  • BLP advises Chiquita Brands International SARL in various claims against certain companies with which it participates as a partner. BLP represented a Swiss subsidiary of Chiquita Brands International, actively developing a robust litigation strategy and maintaining close interactions with the client to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • BLP is advising Gencom Group in civil and criminal proceedings to safeguard the real estate, economic, and administrative concession rights of the companies Grupo Istmo Papagayo Ltda., North Peninsula Holdings Ltda., and Ecodesarrollo Papagayo Ltda., all owned by Gencom Group in Costa Rica. This representation includes handling both civil and administrative proceedings before the Guanacaste Courts and Administrative Courts, particularly in the context of complex real estate claims related to their major touristic and vacation developments in the Papagayo Area, including the Four Seasons hotels. Through direct involvement and strategic legal guidance, BLP achieved outstanding and tangible results for the client.
