Project Description
- Objective: To select an international private concessionaire responsible for the design, financing, construction, operation, and maintenance of Puerto Caldera’s infrastructure and equipment.
- Modality: Public works concession contract with public service, under the Public Works Concession Law with Public Service (LGOSP).
- Purpose: To meet the growing demand at Puerto Caldera and enhance service quality.
About Puerto Caldera
Puerto Caldera, located on Costa Rica’s Pacific coast, is the country’s third largest port and handles a substantial portion of the commercial cargo entering and leaving the region. With the capacity to receive deep-draft vessels and manage significant volumes of containerized and bulk cargo, Puerto Caldera plays a critical role in the Costa Rican economy, facilitating trade and connecting the country to key international routes.
